Checkered Brick

How to make
Prepare 45 cubes, and paint 22 of them with single different color from original. If you can prepare another two different colored cubes, it's the best. The number of dark colored cubes on diagram are 22, and light colored ones are 23.

At first, stick these cubes as follow ; 5x, 4x and 9x. Then, stick each parts ( a 3-length piece and a 2-length parts ) as diagram.

Problem
1. Put 10 pieces togather into 5x3x3 rectangular block. Colors can be ignored.
2. Put 10 pieces togather into 5x3x3 rectangular block and make it perfectly checkered.

Comments

This is my first original packing puzzle. Problem 2 is seemed to be difficult, but because total number of cubes are odd number, then colored cube position is determined automatically, and you can get to the answer easily. Ah, in addition, it's the information from my friend, and I've never checked it's wrong or right :-P
